What is a Teleclass? A teleclass is an interactive workshop conducted via telephone conference call. You don't need any special equipment to participate - just a standard telephone. For best connection and courtesy to others, please do not call with an Internet phone, a cellular phone or speaker phone. What happens during the teleclass? After one ring, you will be automatically connected to the conference call (if you come too early, it will continue to ring without being answered) until someone else joins the call. You will be greeted by the moderator as you enter the classroom and be asked to introduce yourself. You will have an opportunity to introduce yourself to the group and tell us a little bit about yourself as well. When other people join the call, you will be able to hear them join in. When people drop off the call, it will sound like someone hung up, but don't worry, you didn't lose the connection, it's just someone dropping off the call. How many people are in a teleclass? There can be up to 30 people on a telecall. Even though this sounds like a lot of people on one phone call, it is much more orderly than you would think. A good teleleader gives everyone with questions a chance to ask them and also maintains order while presenting the class. What number do I dial? A telephone number will be provided to you in an email address that confirms your enrollment. Will I incur long distance charges? The telebridge number that enables you to join the conference call is a Nevada number. So if you live outside the local Nevada calling area, it will be a long distance call for you. You can use a low-cost calling prefice to lower your long distance calls. For example, if you dial 10-10-811 plus a 1 and the bridge number, your long distance charges will be 5 cents/minute, making the average 1-hour teleclass only $3.00. |
